Kubukta
"The Cow Bay" is a small, shallow bay with smaller areas of well-grazed, coastal meadow. There are also small tidal flats. The area can display a great diversity of waders, passerines, waterfowl and more, given the right timing during migration periods. A shallow pond on the meadow can sometimes attract unusual ducks. The bay outside is also good for waterfowl.
The area is located just next to the camping site, on the south side. Walk through the area and slightly to the left along the beach towards the largest fir stand. There is a small wet area along the small brook with the occasional Snipe. Also check the scrub and the beaches for skulking passerines during migration. The meadow might show up pipits, larks and wagtails.
Recommended seasons: autumn (August-September) and spring (April-May)
Typical species: shorebirds, passerines, waterfowl
Recommended watchpoints: the rocks at the automatic weather station.
