Guidings at the bird observatory

Jomfruland bird observatory offer guidings for visiting groups. Bird life at Jomfruland, history of the observatory, and a demonstration of bird ringing are covered. We also invite you up in the birding tower. The items can be adjusted according to individual wishes, and the guiding lasts about one hour.

Guided tours is offered mainly between 1.4. - 15.6. in spring, and between 1.8. - 31.10. in autumn.

Price per person is NOK 30,-, for one group is minimum NOK 600,- and must be payed in cash. Max 25 persons per group, larger groups will be divided into smaller groups.

This is a good way to support the activites at the observatory!

Guidings are to be booked directly at the observatory, phone + 47 400 00 773, or by dropping in at the observatory. The best time of day for guidings are between 08:00 and 11:00, and not later than 13:00. Ringing of birds are taking place during the morning, from sunrise until about 11:00, sometimes until 13:00. Guided tours starting later than 11:00 may not include ringing of birds.
